****Bit of the day***** What is the difference between through and threw? Well, although they have the same pronunciation, these words are very different. Through is both a preposition and an adverb (and very occasionally, can be used as an adjective). Sally has been through a lot of health problems this year. I walked through the park. Threw is the past tense version of the verb throw. John threw the ball to his team mate. I threw up last night.
