Bitter sweet day. I was very glad to receive notice that the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall was on display at the bi-centennial mall. I thought nothing about going but then as soon as I tried to tell Mr. Dobek (site manager) my fathers name so that I could find it on the wall, I got all choked up. Senator Green lead the ceremony today to kick of a very special initiative - we want to collect photos of every Tennessean whose name is on the Wall. Someone has a yearbook, a shoebox, will a photograph. If you know someone that was lost and have a photograph, or, if you want to look up a friend, please visit the website at: vvmf.org/aboutus Here, my Combat Veterans Association friends (old and new), Mr. Ray Whitley, Jerry Spence, and Dave Peterson helped me locate my Dads name. Ralph M. Dryden. 50w 23. To my dear friend (Vietnam sister) Rebecca Foss (Buttercup), we looked for your Dad also - Joseph R. Foss - here is the image. I will post images from the ceremony tomorrow. Good night and God Bless.
