Bitter sweet day for me today. Marco starts Junior High and my Maria-Rosa is in Grade 5. Today is also the day that my Yiayia passed Two Years ago. R.I.P. On this day two years ago I lost part of me as you were taken away The hurt is there it will never go but time makes it bearable day by day My heart never felt so much pain I thought my life was coming to an end We sat beside your bedside, Our hearts were crushed and sore We did our best to the end, Til we could do no more. In tears we watched you fade away; And though our hearts were breaking, We knew you could not stay Yiayia you left behind some aching hearts, That loved you most sincere; We never will forget you my yiayia Your presence was always real You were the reason I became who I am You held my life in the palm of your hand You showed me right from wrong But the day you died everything went wrong You knew me oh so well My best friend. Though heaven and hell The day you died my heart fell apart I know the lord took you cause it was your time Although I cannot see you, I feel your presence near. I will hold you close in my memory, Till I drop my very last tear. So sleep now with the angels, And your golden heart let rest. Although our hearts are broken, We know GOD took the best So rest now my beautiful Yiayia Ill never forget how much you have done. So until my hand meets yours again, Sleep now in the sun.
