Black Drongo Dicrurus macrocercus 28 cm Widespread resident. ID From Ashy Drongo, which can also appear dark and glossy, by blacker upperparts and shiny blue-black throat and breast, merging into black of rest of underparts; also usually shows white rictal spot and eye is duller. First-winter has black underparts with bold whitish fringes on belly which sometime form white patches. Juvenile has uniform dark brown upperparts and underparts.
