Black Friday put a lot of things on perspective for London - TopicsExpress

Black Friday put a lot of things on perspective for London shoppers this week. This footage and many others like it prove that the consumerist culture has given some bad effects on us over the years. A great influx of customers, and thats fantastic for superstore heads - but perhaps too great for a shops people capacity. These events arent managed, arent mediated, and people get hurt. If high end night clubs can be managed, why cant the regular superstore on Black Friday? Was it all worth the price? For the superstore benefactors - yes of course. For the public, and victims of being trampled on, punched and other more violent acts - I think thats where the main concern lies. Is there something else underlying all of this? Let us know and lets all discuss it here on Q4Q.
