Boats and other craft will be prevented from entering a six-mile stretch of lower Lough Erne near Enniskillen. The only traffic on the water will be ribs (rigid inflatable boats), speedboats and a tugboat used by the PSNI to secure entry points towards the Lough Erne hotel resort, where eight of the most powerful people in the world are staying. Up to 7,000 police officers are on high alert in Northern Ireland, with an additional 900 gardai from the Republic of Ireland being drafted into the border region with Fermanagh.
