Black Woman, I cant with us sometimes. We complain about the lack - TopicsExpress

Black Woman, I cant with us sometimes. We complain about the lack of fathers, especially as it relates to their daughters, yet when I post two stories about Fathers and their daughters there seems to be a problem with how they chose to discipline or deal with their daughters. Its like Black Men cant win with us. They are damned if they do and are condemned if they dont. Both publicly and privately Black Women expressed their disagreement with the Brother that posted a picture of his daughter wearing a shirt displaying her real age(10) after finding out she was online lying about her age in an attempt to get a boyfriend. Now, if something would have happened to her, if she would have been raped or kidnapped, we would have said her father should have taken action, but we disagree with the action that he DID take. Do we not realize what a dangerous position she put herself in? How she could have not only ruined HER life, but someone elses life? How she could have handed herself over to a pedophile? I agree with his method of discipline 1000%! Also, that act could have stopped other young girls from doing the same thing; we dont know who that could have helped. Yesterday, in my status I mentioned a conversation that I had with a Brother, who because his daughter was rebellious and didnt want to respect his authority, or his rules, told her that if she had an emergency to call 911, NOT him or her Brother, and some of you thought that was to harsh. Again, I agree with his method of discipline. Listen, we dont get to tell men how to BE MEN and FATHERS. Tough love has to come into play at times. I appreciate BOTH Men for what they are doing because ultimately they are teaching their daughters lessons in ACCOUNTABILITY and CONSEQUENCES. You want to lie about your age? You will be publicly embarrassed, these are the CONSEQUENCES of your actions. You want to disrespect me, defy my rules, then the consequences will be dont call me when YOU get yourself caught up in a situation because YOU refused to listen. The Black Man will not continue to tolerate disrespect from those that he procreates with and from those that his seed brought into existence. Again we are always talking about the Black Men that need to step up when it comes to their role as Fathers, but we have a complaint when they do. Heres an idea, how about we work on our roles as MOTHERS? How about we work on instilling values, morals, love and self esteem in our daughters. How about we stop partying with our daughters. How about we stop playing rock, paper scissors over who gets the last condom because both of us have our boyfriends waiting in the bedroom. How about WE embrace our natural beauty so we wont have our daughters hating the way THEY look because they see us morph into white women. How about we stop our jr thot in training classes we have in our homes, when we allow our daughters to dress inappropriately, listen to inappropriate music, and watch inappropriate shows. How about we stop treating our teenage daughters like they are our girlfriends, and go back to being their MOTHER! How about we teach our daughters the value of their wombs instead of getting them some birth control just in case, they do something. I know we think its all roses but in my OutKast Voice.. I know you like to think yo sh*t dont stank but Lean a little bit closer and see roses really smell like...you know the rest. Black Woman, take a whiff, our failure is extremely PERMEATING. Our issues with accountability, promiscuity, rebelliousness, hustling our wombs, using child support as a retirement plan, our manipulative ways, and playing the victim are stinking up the joint. #TheAgitator
