Blast the fat... Rev up your metabolism by alternating your speed and intensity during aerobic workouts. Not only should you alternate your routine to prevent burnout or boredom, but also to give your body a jolt. Every five minutes or so up the speed for about a minute then take it back down to your normal pace. Studies show interval workouts blast more fat than steady pace cardio workouts. Each time you work out, increase your bouts of speed in small increments.
