Bnot Hertzeliya - Elitzur Holon 62-47 The most important game in the last round took place in Hertzeliya between third ranked Elitzur Holon (2-2) and fourth ranked Bnot Hertzeliya (3-1) on Monday night. Elitzur Holon was defeated by Bnot Hertzeliya on the road 62-47. The game was mostly controlled by Bnot Hertzeliya. Elitzur Holon managed to win third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Elitzur Holon to just 6 points in first quarter. Bnot Hertzeliya dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Elitzur Holons 22. Bnot Hertzeliya forced 19 Elitzur Holon turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Ebony Hoffman (188-82, college: USC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St.) who added 8 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Bnot Hertzeliyas coach Gilad Katz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Sheana Mosch (177-81, college: Duke) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Courtney Clements (183-89, college: San Diego St.) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Bnot Hertzeliya moved-up to third place, which they share with Elitzur Ramla. Elitzur Holon at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Maccabi R.Hen. Bnot Hertzeliya is looking forward to face Ramat Hasharon (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Elitzur Holon will play against Hap.Petah Tikva and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
