Bob Katter is still fighting to retain the seat of Kennedy as the counting continues. With 60 per cent of the vote counted, he’s facing a 16.34 swing against him to LNP candidate Noeline Ikin. Meanwhile Dawson LNP MP George Christensen is set to stay in the job for another three years. At 80% of counting he had secured 57.31% of the vote compared to Labor candidate Bronwyn Taha’s 42.69%. And in Herbert, LNP incumbent Ewen Jones is set to stay another term, having secured 55.3% of the vote at 72.10% of votes counted.
