Bold Nebraska Options for this story Great #NoKXL letter to the editor of The Grand Island Independent from LeEllen Haynes: A recent letter to the editor referred to individuals opposing the Keystone XL pipeline as environmental extremists. Im not sure how you define such an extremist, but I attended a Bold Nebraska meeting this week to find out. The people I met there were farmers and ranchers, some with dirt on their jeans and boots from their days work on their land. These are people whose families have been stewards of the land for generations. They understand that Nebraskas abundant, clean water is our greatest natural resource.
