****** Bone Broth ****** Marrow Bones 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar Bay Leaf Sea Vegetables Onion, Carrot, Celery, cut into chunks Bake the marrow bones for 1 hour in a 180° oven. Place the bones into a slow cooker with Apple Cider Vinegar, Bay Leaf, sea vegetables and vegetables. Cover with water and set the slow cooker on low/medium heat. The longer the bones are left to cook the more nutrients will be drawn out of the bones. I recommend 24-36 hours in the slow cooker, topping up with water morning and night. Once cooked drain the liquid into a glass bowl and allow cooling. Once cool place in the fridge, the fat will separate from the broth and harden. Remove the fat and use the broth when needed. Information: Properly prepared broths are highly nutritious and contain minerals from bones, cartilage, and marrow. Adding apple cider vinegar will assist in drawing out calcium, magnesium and potassium. Another benefit is the high content of gelatine that aid digestion and have been used to treat intestinal disorders such as hyperactivity, crohns disease and colitis. In addition cartilage is also beneficial and assists in healing arthritis. I encourage people to also add sea vegetables in order to get a ultimate amount of vitamins and minerals. Sea vegetables are highly nutritious.
