Bones - a Fighting Dog becomes a Teacher Bones is a pitbull terrier who was brought to the Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha near Cape Town in South Africa a while back – she was in a terrible condition – thin, emaciated and full of scars. She was used as a fighting dog and for breeding more pitbulls for this illegal dog fighting industry. The Staff at the clinic decided that she had had enough abuse for one lifetime and she was not going back to her owners. Today Bones has her forever home at Mdzananda and she spends her days lazing on the couch in the staff room, looking after the sick pets of the community and teaching the children in the surrounding community all about animal welfare.
