Bonnie Cox Curtis, age 68, of Farris Road, Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born July 26, 1945, in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Stirl and Lovell Hurst Cox. Her husband, Jerry Lee Curtis, passed away November 7, 1993. She is survived by one son Jerry Dewayne Curtis and wife April of Hillsboro; one daughter, Sherry Hamilton and husband Thurman of Flemingsburg; 7 grandchildren, Anna Leigh Hamilton, Adam Clay Hamilton, Natasha Lucas and husband Gary, Amber Stevens, Ashley Applegate, Lauren Faith Curtis, and Logan Hunter Curtis; and 3 great-grandchildren, Madison Estep, Conner Lucas, and Alanna Lucas. Also surviving are four brothers, Bill Cox and wife Shirley of Dayton, Ohio, Bud Cox and wife Shirley of Hillsboro, John “Dub” Cox of Plano, Texas, and George Roseberry and wife Bonnie of Wallingford; one sister, Sharon Black and husband Woody of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews. Bonnie was a loving mother and grandmother and retired from St. Claire Regional Medical Center Home Health after 20 years of service and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working in her flower garden . Bonnie attended the Hillsboro Christian Church. Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Newman Cemetery with Brother Jim Hamm officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Rigdon, Rob Purdon, John Barnes, Anthony Vise, Bruce Hamilton, Mike Cox, Thurman Hamilton, and Dewayne Curtis. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. At Bonnie’s request, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Newman Cemetery, c/o John R. Newman, 15907 Morehead Road, Wallingford, KY 41093.
