Bonsoir ! In restaurants chefs usually serve their dishes on warm plates so the food doesnt cool down too quickly. You can do the same at home when you have guests, they will appreciate your food and your effort even more. Hot food on warm plates can wait a minute before being served which can sometimes help in times of panic ! Here are some simple methods to heat your plates: - In the oven: Put your plates about 15 minutes in an oven at 60 °C to 70 °C Note: Beyond 80 °C you risk burning your fingers !! - In the microwave: Put your plates in the microwave for 2 minutes on full power, with a cup or a glass of water on top (you should never run a microwave without water) You can also run them under very hot water but I think its a bit of waste of water and they cool down quicker.
