Born in a Lebanon refugee camp, Palestinian Iqbal Al-Assaad skipped from 3rd to 9th grade. After graduating from high school at the age of 12, she secured a scholarship to Cornell University Qatari Campus. Dr. Al-Assaad is the Guinness Book of World Records youngest doctor at the age of 20. However, as a Palestinian, she is not allowed to practice in Lebanon -- only Lebanese nationals can work in medicine and law. She is currently completing her residency at a hospital in the US.
