Born on this day in 1938 David Frieberg who played guitar for Jefferson Airplane, He was a co-founder of Quicksilver Messenger Service with John Cipollina. Jefferson Airplane had a name change to Jefferson Starship & Freiberg remained with this group until 1984 when he quit the group following the departure of Paul Kantner.
