Borrowed from LIB page... Its a sad day as weve lost another person to cancer. Stuart Scott, a North Carolinian from Winston-Salem and graduate of UNC, passed away this morning from cancer at the age of 49, leaving behind two beautiful daughters. Many of us grew up watching Sportscenter and seeing Stuart Scott anchor. He brought excitement and personality to the show that made all of us want to someday anchor Sportscenter. He battled cancer 3 times and unfortunately wasnt able to beat it this time. He was inspiration to many as he bravely fought this battle in the public eye and helped raise awareness and resources for cancer research. When you die from cancer it doesnt mean you lost. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and the manner in which you live - Stuart Scott RIP STU.
