Time is not necessarily kind, and many age related issues are very expensive to repair completely. After restoration, it is easy to spend as much money as buying a new National Resophonic guitar. When deciding to go vintage...buying online...sight unseen...I suggest expecting the worse on arrival...so you are not disappointed. Knowing an experienced guitar luthier comes in very handy.
