BoxRun Marathon #18 has come to an end with tons of hill climbs today but it is Newfoundland so it is expected!!!The weather was a little cool but perfect for running and my energy level was amazing today as the 42.2 kms went a lot easier considering the massive climbs. I had a newfoundland couple pull me over at the side of the road and hand me 10 dollars telling me to Keeper going by, you can do it I smiled and said only 72 more marathons to go but I am running Home so I will get there. Our sponsor of the day goes to Jamie Sag from Corner Brook who donated a room for us last night, Jamie is a friend of one of my buddies, John Duffy. Our dedication went to Rowan Langille, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour back in 2012, Rowan had, surgery, radiation,Chemo treatments and yet the cancer had spread to his spine later that year. Rowan was chosen to be one of our Heaters Heroes last year and one week before the event, Rowan ended up passing away and yet his family and friends came to the event and walked the Rowan Mile for him. Rowan was a special little boy who left behind 3 siblings, his parents and his dog , who at his funeral, was looking up and down the aisle for Rowan which made everybody in the funeral home including myself breakdown into tears!!!Rowan is up above right now playing with all his friend and is cancer free and in no more pain and I know he is an angel watching over me as I continue my journey to help other children KO cancer. Rowan, Marathon #18 belongs to you buddy!!!!!!
