Bracknell Bees and the Ascot Lawyers Foundation join forces again The Bracknell Bees and Ascot Lawyers are proud to announce an expanded partnership for the 2014-2015 English Premier League ice hockey season. The core of the partnership will see the Bees join forces with the Ascot Lawyers Foundation, a charitable organisation set up in 2012 by Alan Carr MBE, Neil Somerville and Peter Williams of Ascot Lawyers. The Foundation was created to enable the pledging of support to a number of charitable causes including the Coming Home campaign for the Haig Housing Trust that supports severely injured armed forces personnel, Topic of Cancer and Team Sophie in recognition of local paralympian Sophie Christiansen. The aim will be for both organisations to work together to raise awareness of all of the great causes supported by the Foundation and to enable beneficiaries to enjoy Bees games while integrating themselves within the club’s social circles. The partnership will also see Ascot Lawyers continuing their sponsorship of the Bees for the season including jersey logos, rink-level advertising and a range of other promotional opportunities throughout the season. Ascot Lawyers’ Partner Peter Williams had this to say of the enhanced alliance with the Bees: “Neil and I have personally followed the Bracknell Bees as fans for many years. We are delighted to be able to continue promoting the Bees for the 5th year as corporate sponsors too. You will find us and many of our Ascot Lawyers’ colleagues attending the home games at the weekend; it is the favorite sport of many within our Firm. We have 2 current ice hockey players working for us, both of whom are in the process of completing their training to become Lawyers. We were delighted to hear that in December 2013 the Bracknell Bees officially had the largest fan base in the league and attracted the biggest crowd to an ice hockey game in over 10 years. We appreciate this opportunity to continue supporting and engaging with the community in our local area. We are delighted to be part of such a large and rooted fan base especially as our business is based on investing in and developing local connections and regional ties.” Bees’ General Manager, Ben Beeching, also expressed his enthusiasm with the relationship saying “Ascot Lawyers are a valuable contributor to the Bees cause in a number of different ways, and I have really appreciated Neil and Peter’s support since I have got to know them. Not only do they support the team from a financial perspective but also as keen fans of the games themselves”. On the new link with the Ascot Lawyers Foundation, Beeching also added that “the relationship with the Foundation will allow us to use the Bees’ name and presence in the community to support a number of fantastic local causes and the Armed Forces. This was a big priority for us in our second season as we continue to work towards a long-term vision for the club on and off the ice and I am proud to have taken this massive step with Ascot Lawyers”. Further details of promotions and fundraising campaigns associated with the partnership will be announced over the coming weeks and during the season.
