Brad Alcock and Ty Sjodin of my staff going after mid summer - TopicsExpress

Brad Alcock and Ty Sjodin of my staff going after mid summer whitefish. You read that right, whitefish and as you can see the locator is full of fish! The pattern is simple...Cannon downriggers or 3 oz. inline weights anywhere from 25 to 75 feet down in the deep basin areas that drop as deep as 120 feet. Crawler harnesses are the lures of choice with the blades being white, silver or bronze colors. The speed is varied from .8 to 1.2 mph. The key is having medium action moderate tip rods. They are using St. Croix wild river 9 foot downrigger rods and 7 foot avid casting. The moderate tip allows for a softer fight which is crucial for keeping the soft mouthed whitefish hooked. Keep the photos coming boys!
