Brad Leroy Kasler, 26, of Glouster, Ohio, appeared before Judge L. Alan Goldsberry, after being arrested on October 29, 2014, in a collaborative effort between the Athens County Sheriff’s Office, the Glouster Police Department and the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office. Kasler had several outstanding warrants including three warrants on indictments charging Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, a felony of the third degree in case number 14CR0411; Failure to Appear as Required by Recognizance, a felony of the fourth degree in case number 14CR0338; and Receiving Stolen Property, a felony of the fifth degree in case number 14CR0304. Kasler entered pleas of not guilty to all charges. The State requested bond in the amount of $100,000.00 with no 10%. The Court set Kasler’s bond at $75,000.00 with no 10%. Kasler’s charge stem from using an ATV to elude arrest from the Glouster Police Department in September of 2014, failing to appear for hearings in the Athens County Common Pleas Court in July of 2014, and using another person’s credit card without permission in March of 2014. Prosecutor Blackburn states that “The cooperation of agencies made this arrest and the subsequent bond possible. I am glad that we are working together to ensure those that commit crimes in our community are held accountable.” The above cases were investigated by the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office and the Glouster Police Department.
