Brad McLeod about Future Battleground: No I dont think we will go to war in Ukraine this afternoon.. but.... Lets be honest for a minute. All of these workouts are fun and exciting - do you agree? But what is the true purpose of getting fit with a Special Forces style workout? Yes; its cool to run the Spartan Race and do the GoRuck and get ready for Kokoro. But in the end -- what do we all really want? To Be Ready for Anything at AnyTime. Believe me.. I like to train for Six Pack Abs and be able to run long distance on trails. Thats fun... But in the end.. my #1 responsibility to my family is to keep them safe. In time of need - they want me to be ready to answer the call. Whether that is simple stuff like getting my wifes car unstuck during the recent Atlanta ice storm or chopping wood to keep them warm when the power was out. In the end we all need to be ready to hustle in disaster and get it done. The world around us is shifting and changing... and sometimes not for the better. Look at the drought in California - the huge mudslide in Washington State and a long winter in the Northeast. This is what I mean by the Future Battlegrounds. You will need to be ready to help those in need when the #%@$ hits the fan. We have to be fit to handle the burden when those around us are in need of help. We want to be ready to RUN towards those in need and help them. I have been teaching my son survival skills this past year - partly to show him a trade craft and also because it allows us to spend time together. If your a parent - I think you should spend a little time to help teach your kids skills like these as it is fun and very helpful in time of need.
