Bravo Madam President After thorough investigations and reading/listening to the pros and cons on the appointments of Mr. George Kronnisanyon Werner as the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Mr. William Gyude Moore as Minister of Public Works and Dr. Elizabeth Davis-Russell as Minister of Education, I have come to the conclusion that these appointments worth congratulating the president Sirleaf for. I am so excited about the appointments of these extremely smart, well educated and decent individuals that I will be on the Henry Costas show tomorrow morning via telephone from Cape Town, South Africa delineating my supports for them. I am convinced that these well educated, brilliant, energetic, decent and hard working Liberians will bring fresh air and the necessary changes to the dysfunctional institutions they have been nominated to head. While each of them may have shortcomings, their great intelligences, organizational and managerial skills, quality education and great passion for the betterment of Liberia more than supplant any so-called lack of experience for the job. As must as some of us remain vociferous critics of this reign and some of the staunchest oppositions to our President’s failed policies, we acknowledge that none of us have perfection to offer and so we have no right to demand it of others. While we have found every opportunity to criticize public officials, we must find the time and energy to support the well meaning ones- the ones who have demonstrated true love for Liberia and Liberians and who are exerting all efforts against all odds to make a difference. Nevertheless, let the word go forth to Mr. George Werner and Mr. William Gyude Moore that while we strongly believe in your ability to get the job done, in your brillancy, in your passion for a better Liberia, in your honesty and sincerity and in your decency and while we are available to render our services in any way we can help in your successes, we will become your greatest critics if you don’t live up to the high expectations and great achievements you are noted for. As long as you keep meeting our expectations, you can rest assured of our unflinching supports for you.
