Brazil did not seem to be a potential winner the way they played against Chile. They lacked cohesion and lacked the thrust needed. Many of their passes were aimless. Neymar seemed to be a subdued player. The defense seemed to be wilting whenever the Chileans thrust forward into their penalty area. Lucky to win via the penalty shoot out. It is the Brazilian crowd whose high-decibel vocal support gave them victory by unnerving the last Chilean shooter. Brazil almost lost when in the penultimate moments a shot from a Chilean player beat the Brazilian goalkeeper but the crossbar came to the rescue.
