Breaking News! The Texas State Board of Pharmacy just voted to withdraw the current proposed rules that would have eliminated the pharmacist to pharmacy technician supervision ratio. Instead, a task force will be appointed to review duties of technicians and educational requirements and bring back recommendations to the Board. The ratio issue also may be addressed by the special task force. In other action, the Board approved the development of new proposed rules to change the current ratio in Class A and B pharmacies from 1:3 to 1:4, and in Class G to 1:8.
