Breaking new ground for women in the military, Major General Kristin Lund of #Norway is the #first woman ever to be appointed as Force Commander in a UN Peacekeeping Operation. She is currently serving in #Cyprus. She says, It has been crucial for me to meet #women in similar situations. The fact that I finally have shattered several glass ceilings, and paved the way for many, is important.
