Breaking news from the fantastic group of people who are working so hard to keep ugly industrial looking radio towers out of our little chunk of paradise - Hi there, what we have managed to accomplish so far is a Date: December 1st 2013 at 12:00 high noon. This means we are assembled along the streets at 12:00 pm so when the TV cameras come we are ready for them. This entire event should take about an hour. Your job is make the crowd look monstrous. We have been given permission by the Whatcom County Sheriffs Dept to have this demonstration along Tyee, starting at MC Kenzie. As long as we remain on the shoulders and not on the road/street no intervention will take place. We are still waiting to hear from Constable E. Hughes of the Delta Police Dept. I met with her on Wednesday in person and she has to run it up the chain of command. At that time she did not say no thats impossible or yes that s no problem. Their office in Delta is closed on Friday so I sent her an email letting her know how anxious we are to hear what was decided. Once we get permission from the Delta police we should rip into high gear. We will be inviting the news channels to come. Signs must be created, the more inventive and colorful the better, must look good on TV. We are floating large Red Balloons up to the height of the radio towers, 150 feet. Think of novel ways to make noise. Talk to your clubs, church groups, schools, businesses. Im asking for volunteers in both Point Roberts and Tsawwassen to help keep SAFE order on the streets. No one should get into the road way. Thats when the blue meanies come out and impose law n order. Folks this is when we need to talk with our neighbors about joining us in this demonstration. Lets make this a fun, creative day. Lets show our politicians and BBC Broadcasting Inc how we feel. Politicians respond to large noisy crowds. Also I need a few videographers to capture the essence of our day of protest. Thats it for now
