Breaking some advanced bodyweight skills down with a ton of progressions in my current program. We see lots of progressions in Crossfit for Olympic lifts but rarely do we see people focus on the foundations of bodyweight movements before moving on to handstand pushups and muscle ups. Because of this, many athletes have a hard time progressing on to more advanced gymnastics skills. Take a step back this week to look at what your current movement goals are regardless of modality, and incorporate some progressions at a basic level to set the foundation properly. Dont build your house on sand and expect it to stand in a storm.
