Brethren,I have this burden by the Spirit of the living God to speak about the subjectBEING BEGOTTEN AGAIN. This subject is very important and as I am led,will be broadly treated. I shall use the NKJV for the purpose of this message: 1 peter 1:3-5. Matter of being begotten again has become a joke within the church, has become very rare on the pulpit and handled with levity. Preachers nowadays have been engulfed and overwhelmed with the message of prosperity at the expense of purity and holiness.Many preachers are no longer interested in the cardinal doctrines of the scripture e.g.salvation, sanctification,repentance and restitution.Instead of all of these,many of our times preachers have preferably settled for the ephemeral and mundane things of this world.They now equate riches with righteousness, that once you are righteous you must be rich and have equated poverty to punishment cos of sin.No wonder the pew of the modern day church is filled up by criminals and fraudsters,no fire on the pulpit that can crossover to the pew cos all the pulpit is concerned about is prosperity. When there is no serious revival on the pulpit, how can there be repentance in the pew? Issue of being born again in many churches have become a pentecostal jagon and in many circles,an ecclesiastical slogan. Every Dick and Harry is now born again.I wonder what the church of God has become with the close arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ. So called Christians are no longer conscious of the fact that without being begotten again,going to Church is just a jamboree and a ritual religiousity. By the grace of God, I will break this message into 3 sections. I will by His grace start from section 1 next time.
