Brevard County Dog Training Club: Our October Trial October 25 & 26, 2014 in Melbourne The rally committee has heard some comments about people not wanting to show their dogs outside in the grass. We hear you…… the BCDTC trial will be a true indoor trial. Each of the 2 rings will be on a raised firm platform about 2 inches off the ground. The platforms will then be matted with the same material that we use at every trial. This means that the dogs will be performing on a surface that is covered with the same matting the handlers practice on every day. The only time your dog will be walking in grass is when you “potty” them or walk them from the crate to the ring. The tent will be 17,600 square feet. Our training center is only around 4000 square feet so this tent will actually be a building more than 4 times larger than the training center. There will lots of room for crating and for practice. Noise tends to get lost in a building that size so the noise level should be less than Melbourne or Orlando events. For the rally people, there will be a High in Trial prize and a High Combined (RE+RA scores) prize. WOW! For the Junior Handlers, there will be a prize for both the High Score in Obedience and the High Score in Rally. Forget what anyone has said about showing outdoors—it will NOT be outdoors-- and join us at our new location for an indoor event. Tell your friends about Our Trial and get them to participate. This should be a fun event and in conjunction with the Brevard County Fair, there will lots of thing to see and lots of things for the entire family to do.
