Tolkien Screenplay • Fran Walsh • Philippa Boyens • Peter Jackson • Guillermo Del Toro Adventure, Fantasy Rated PG-13 170 minutes What can I say? When you go see The Hobbit, you are going to see Tolkiens slim one-volume classic The Hobbit, on screen, in an amazing CGI fashion! And Peter Jackson, the Director, has made New Zealand the home of digital CGI now. Between Government support and the latest and proven studios, it has become the place of places for this film genre. The Hobitt, is an invigorating visual fest! I cannot think of a film with more creativity and profound visuals then this film. This was a great experience to see the digital film world of today. When you go to the theatres now, you are most likely watching digital projected cinema. The days of 35 mm projectors are gone. We have embarked on a new era of technology and filmmaking. The Hobitt was worth the almost three hour s on the screen. The casting was terrific and the visuals amazing. I can’t say much for the dialogue or the fight scenes. It seemed funny that the bow and arrow was loaded and used like it was a machine gun!! I have never seen such fast loading and drawing of the bow as in this film! Peter Jackson set us up well for the next installment. Of course, we were left hanging and we will await the next Hobbit to continue the story. youtube/watch?v=OPVWy1tFXuc
