Brian and I went to the Oakland Raiders/Phili Eagles game on Sunday. We arrived Saturday evening at a hotel 1/3 mile from the Oakland Colosseum at 7pm. I reached to pull out my wallet, and realized that I had left it at home 2 hours earlier. Luckily, I had redeemed some hotel points for the stay. But, they need a photo id and a credit card to check us in. I called a tech savvy neighbor, who scanned my drivers license and a credit card and emailed it to the hotel. They never received the email. I then had him email it to my email, and I went in to the hotels business center to use their computer to print it. Problem was, their internet was so slow that I never got to the email. Then the hotel let me use their front desk computer to access my email. Got it! Took an hour, but we got checked in! But, still have no id, no credit card and about eighty cents of change in the car. Hotel provided breakfast in the morning, included. Went to the Philly Eagles tailgate party for food and drink. Lunch covered. Game was a blow-out: 49-20 Eagles. Had muffins and M&Ms in the car for the drive back. Stayed in a hotel, went to a football game and ate all meals with no money or id. Had a good time with my son, watching his team win in a blow-out for his first NFL game. Quite an experience!
