Brittany- I am sorry that I am just now getting around to checking email and I came across your narrative on the box project. I love your idea of relating slope to Taoism. It is really creative and out of the box but it fits and you do a good job of exploring ways that the two systems relate to each other. Your reflection on perfection is interesting. Many antique oriental rugs have deliberate imperfections because the weavers believed that only God is perfect and trying to be perfect is a kind of blasphemy. My take on it is that no matter how good we get our work will never be perfect, so we dont have to worry about it. As a teacher it is always great to see a student who reflects deeply on the ideas that we cover in class and not just on how to get the right answer. Thank you for restoring my faith in CSA students!
