What do you think of legalizing physician-assisted suicide? A. I agree that physician-assisted suicide should be legal. We have the right to live as we want. We should have the right to die as we want. B. Physician-assisted suicide should not be legal because it undermines the “do no harm” principle of medicine. We can’t expect physician-assisted suicide not to impact doctors’ ethics. C. Physician-assisted suicide should only be legal in the case of someone with a terminal illness like Maynard. In other circumstances, suicide should be discouraged. D. Suicide is never the right choice because it impacts not only the person killed, but their family members and friends. We have to live in the world that Maynard leaves behind.
