Broken Herdim assembly clamps! Had anyone suffered the same fate? After many years, more than half of these clamps are breaking. Yes, they are old, but more than a few decades of use are expected considering the price! The design is wonderful but the reliability is in serious question. Any ideas or suggestions on the repair? Replacement parts are available but expensive. Im considering making wooden blocks of a similar design then the clamping surface will be lined with thick a simi hard plastic. Other ideas?
