Brokenness is God at work for our good and His will. Brokenness - TopicsExpress

Brokenness is God at work for our good and His will. Brokenness is not punishment or chastisement. God is the Creator and Maker of all things to include human, “life”. Jeremiah chapter 18, we read about God is the “Potter” and we are the “Clay” Now God made man from the earth, (dirt or clay) Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the mans nostrils, and the man became a living person. When we “drift” or fall so far away from God’s will, we experience periods of “Brokenness”. When we become self-reliant, conforming to worldly thinking and loss of love and reverence towards God, bad attitudes. The “Potter’s Wheel” is when God allows: adversity to breaks our self-will and transform us into useful vessels for His kingdom. Brokenness is the Lord’s method of dealing with our self-reliance—that desire within us to act independently from Him. God wants us to bring every area of our lives into submission to His will, and He uses our trials to lead us to a point of total surrender. Jeremiah 18:1-6 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potters house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potters house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potters hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. Be encouraged today my brothers and sisters, God knows what He is doing. Stay on the Potter’s Wheel, God is doing what is needful for us. Stop murmuring and complaining, or kicking against the pricks. God loves us so much, “He breaks us to make us”. This is a process; submit to the will of the Lord in times of brokenness.
