Brooks Pattersons comments on Detroit to the New Yorker were incredibly offensive. When Republican politicians make these kinds of offensive and divisive comments, it sets our state back. Instead of constantly working to divide us, Republicans should support common sense measures to promote equal opportunity for everyone in Michigan, like increasing the minimum wage and reversing Rick Snyders new taxes on poor and middle-class families.
