Brother Ishmael Allah (The Moor): Moorish history is a good history as far as understanding the gap between where were at today and an aspect of where we come from. And how bodies of knowledge were transferred particularly from the Greeks and to the Latin and into Spain from an African perspective. So, you gotta take the bitter with the sweet and understand that based on time and context, the term Moor was an appellation that was placed on African people. And at certain times it was a universal thing and then at other times it was very specific in how it was applied to people. So, just like the term African can be a general label for people, Moor can be a general label of people also, depending on time and context. There are many books. ...So the first slaves from that area brought over to the Western hemisphere during that era of the triangular slave trade were Moors from Spain. Those Moors from Spain then started to be exchanged for Africans by the Portuguese. And thats where you start to get the Africans that started coming and being used as slave chattel. Because they started to exchange the Moors for slaves and then started to give guns to those Moors who started to work in conjunction with the Portuguese. So, the Portuguese started setting up shop in Cape Verde and different areas, different forts on the side of West Africa. And they started to gather Africans and that was basically what we all know as the African slave trade. Some of the original forts like the ones in Ghana, they actually had Hebrew stars over the doors. It was called the Door of No Return for two reasons.(Amen-Ra Squad Afterglow Digest February 23, 2014)therealblackatheist/index.php/information/references/17-amenra-squad-afterglow-digest-february-23-2014
