Brothers and sisters I am deeply disturbed by some of the things that are being said right now in this group. I just had to delete a post where someone said, I hate it when Catholics ask stupid questions on social media why cant they just ask a priest or seminarian? Well let me answer this question firstly there are no stupid questions. Secondly thats what social networks like Facebook are for in fact that is the main purpose of this group is to help us grow in our faith and one of the ways we do that is asking questions. Some of you take the fact the that you were fortunate enough to have good catechesis for granted and think everybody should know it just like you do. Well not everybody is as fortunate as you. As for asking seminarians and priests questions theres nothing wrong with that. However it is also important to realize that priests and seminarians are very busy men and they do not always have time to answer questions right away. If you can get your questions answered by other knowledgeable Catholics and take some of the workload off of seminarians and priests then why wouldnt you want to do that? The Bible didnt say it is the sole responsibility of the priest or the seminarian to go out and preach the gospel its the responsibility OF ALL Catholics. So if we have knowledge to answer a question we have the responsibility to do that because thats what Jesus told us to do. So please do not make negative comments or put people down when they ask questions. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
