Brown Brothers Winery celebrated their 125th anniversary in style, re-opening their historic barn at the winery in Milawa for a spectacular dinner on the weekend. Siblings Catherine and Caroline Brown co-hosted the night with their uncle John and dad Ross being called on to recall historic family events. The menu for the night was based around their grandmother, Patricia Brown’s recipes and the wines included 2012 125 years Special Release Pinot Noir, 2012 Patricia Chardonnay (not to be released until 2016) and 2008 125 Years Special Release Shiraz, Mondeuse, Cab Sav – plus the 125 Years Special Release Muscat and the 1999 Patricia Noble Riesling which, despite having turned red, tasted as fresh as a daisy.
