Bruce Givner: do people ever tell you that they have already sent you the payment to which you are entitled?? A little village in Poland was being terrorized by two bears, one male and one female. The villagers had repeatedly tried to kill or capture the bears, but with no success. Finally, they saved up a great deal of money to hire three experts, one from their native Poland and one each from Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia. The three experts set out into the woods to kill or capture the bears. Days passed and no news reached the town. Finally, on the fifth day, the expert from Yugoslavia staggered back to town on two legs but missing one arm. The townspeople were shocked. "What happened?," they cried." "It was terrible," he answered. "The female attacked first, ripping off my arm, as you can see, and devouring the good man from Yugoslavia." "But," the townspeople asked, "what happened to the man from Czechoslovakia?" "Oh," he responded. "The Czech is in the male."
