Bruised Reeds & Smoldering Wicks Sometimes, as a blade of grass - TopicsExpress

Bruised Reeds & Smoldering Wicks Sometimes, as a blade of grass is slowly pulled from the ground to reveal its root, Deliverance comes; Not aggressively For its reed will break Not hurriedly For intimacys sake But patiently For much is at stake And then The root revealed Is white Sometimes, as choice wine Flows smoothly Past the lips of those who fall asleep Light dawns Not alarmingly For gently He comes Not aggressively As in beating drums But with desire As for pomegranates and plums And then Love is awakened Sometimes, we are too quick with the most extreme solutions that would hurt another unnecessarily. This was written for the outcast. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory. Matthew 12:20
