He won’t be playing in IPL next season. This is the second format from which Tendulkar has announced his retirement after having called quits from the ODIs in December 2012. In 78 IPL matches, Tendulkar scored 2334 runs at an average of 34.83 and a strike rate of 119.81. He scored one century and 13 half-centuries. Mumbai Indians lift their first IPL trophy by defeating CSKMay 28th, 2013 Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to win their first IPL title. In the final match played at Eden Garden stadium of Kolkata, MI vanquished CSK with a 23-run victory. CSK could score only 125 runs at the loss of nine wickets while chasing the moderate target of 149 runs against Mumbai Indians.
