#Bucca (nr #Bundaberg) – grass fire as at 4.20pm. 6 #QldFES crews are currently on scene at a grass fire burning near Billabong Way, Bucca. This fire broke out around 2.30pm and crews are working to protect a number of properties in the area by constructing fire breaks and conducting backburning operations. A large smoke haze will affect Bucca and surrounding areas. Residents are advised to be vigilant, close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medication close by. Motorists are urged to drive to conditions. Residents who feel their home is under threat should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
