Buenos Dias my friends, Cup:O:Joe in hand with a whole’lotta love for Mother Nature’s Natural this morning… #[email protected] with 11” @the base over the past 24hrs (5a-5a) and an impressive 12” to 14” @the summit… Since 5am we have received 1” of additional snowfall… Roads – SR88 over the Carson Pass & Spur are R1 at this time as reported by Cal Trans so slow’yr roll on the way out today… Let’s level set - Ski Patrol and Mtn. Team are out on the mountain now, We have snow safety holds on all front-side lifts to start the day, Winds are Light/Moderate 25+out of the SW @the summit, Temps 31 @the base and 25 @the summit… First Avy routes are underway, If you are in valley now you can hear the sound of a glorious day beginning as Patrol works the upper mountain and cornice line :) We will open the front-side eight (8) Snowkirk, Caples Crest, The Reut, The Wall, Solitude, Cornice Express, Timber Creek Express & Bunny with Two (2) Magic Carpets as soon as we have snow-safety clearances on all lifts… We will NOT be opening the Back-Side today as there is a lot of work ahead in the next few days to prep and dig out back there… So, just to clarify, the front-side = 61 runs, 3 open bowls, 1 Park, 20 groomed runs and 1600 acres of Mother Nature’s Natural for you to shred out here today… Get off the couch, put down the IPad, pack the car, grab your girl or girl grab your guy as it’s a #KirkwoodDeep POWDER DAY my friends :) Stay Tuned and as always Stay Thirsty, Coop
