Buika and Chick Corea will rule the spotlight in The Town Hall shows. Different paths, same destination. She’s a Spanish jazz singer from Miami Beach and he’s a legendary keyboardist with Spanish leanings — and this week, Buika and Chick Corea will become one of the most interesting back-to-back combinations ever at Town Hall. The action begins Wednesday with Buika, who has stripped down her usual backing band to guitar, bass and just a cajon instead of drums. “I used to play with big bands, singers, lots of percussion, but it just was too crazy,” says the 41-year-old singer, whose full name is Maria Concepción Balboa Buika. “I’m young and I’m still learning.
