Build and they will come... Thats one of the many quotes I remember and would play in my mind during my undergraduate studies in property studies. Now Im back in Kenya and realizing that this is our rational as Kenyans. Now, that logic has served us well and is probably still serving us as the demand for retail and housing has been enormous. But things are changing. Education versus the reality of Kenya, because lets face it Kenya is on a league of its own (both in good and bad ways) when it comes to property. And thats why the #hassconsult and #knighfrank are such a big issue Im looking forward to unpacking! Statistics, Kenyan psychology and economics are at odds here. And thats why companies that take the time to truly engage and understand our market will succeed here. Im talking to you South Africans! :) But ya.. Im excited. To 2015 and unpacking/understanding the dynamics that run property in Nairobi, Kenya.
