Building Plan Promised after Fogel Murder Frozen A municipal building plan for the Samarian (Shomron) Jewish community of Itamar, promised by the government following the March 2011 murder of five members of the Fogel family, is one of the victims of the recently-announced decision by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to halt meetings of the Supreme Planning Commission in the Defense Ministrys Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria. The decision came two days before the commission was to consider Itamars plan. The result is that construction in Itamar is frozen, as well as funds from government ministries for public buildings there, a situation similar to other communities in the region that were not promised a plan. Noting that the freeze was preventing a number of Itamar yeshiva graduates from staying in the community, Rabbi Avichai Ronsky, who heads the yeshiva, called for activity that would allow continuation of construction.
